Champion hospitality on offer at The Open

Visitors to this year’s The Open can be a champion – without ever setting foot on the course.
As part of the packages available for one of the most celebrated events in the golfing calendar, The Open Hospitality has unveiled a new offering for 2014, The Champion’s Club.
And would-be attendees can take advantage of a special rate to enjoy this hospitality option – and all the other packages – if they’re quick!

Prices for The Open Hospitality are set to increase at the end of January so anyone wanting to attend this year’s most exciting golfing event is advised to book as soon as possible, particularly as demand has already been particularly high.

The new Champion’s Club is a more informal offering but still with fully inclusive hospitality, starting with a light breakfast, a grazing lunch and wine, beer and soft drinks included throughout the day.

At the same guests choosing this option also get access to an outdoor area with TV screen and a bar, the putting green and a private garden to relax in.

The Champion’s Club offering has been created in response to changes in hospitality requirements, giving companies working to tighter budgets the opportunity to still enjoy and entertain at one of the most important events on the sporting calendar.

Brett Tonkyn, Director of Sales for The Open Hospitality, explained that the new package had been devised because of the organisation’s awareness about shifts in corporate entertainment. “Many companies still want to bring their clients to prestigious events like The Open but they don’t all have the same budgets as before,” he said.

“The Champion’s Club allows them to still enjoy the whole experience but at an affordable level and it’s also a great option for anyone else who might want to experience The Open for the first time.” The Open Hospitality, at Royal Liverpool from 16 – 20 July 2014, is already breaking all sales records of the past five years.

“There has already been an incredible amount of interest and advance bookings for hospitality for this year’s event,” said Brett.

“The high standards of hospitality on offer, coupled with world class golf makes The Open Championship the perfect setting to entertain clients, reward colleagues or just to enjoy a spectacular day out. “This year we have included a wider range of packages that ever before with the introduction of The Champion’s Club which means we really do have something to suit everyone.”

All the hospitality options include VIP parking and entrance tickets, with prices ranging from £299 to £699 plus VAT. Guests can also enjoy a special rate of just £199 plus VAT for the practice day in The Champion’s Club. Current prices on all packages are valid until the end of January.

Bespoke packages can also be created for larger groups wanting to couple The Open with a conference, product launch or meeting.
