New Leisure Centre at Lane End Conference Centre

Lane End Conference Centre has unveiled plans to build a brand new sports and leisure centre at its 26-acre site in Buckinghamshire.
Work will begin on the new double-storey building at the international conference centre in early 2014.
As well as providing state-of-the-art sports and fitness facilities for visitors to the venue, the gymnasium and other amenities will be available to external members during the day.

Heni Fourie, Sales and Marketing Manager at the conference centre in Lane End, said: “We are very excited about work starting on the new leisure centre.

“As part of our ongoing commitment to deliver the highest standard of facilities for guests, we have worked closely with our architects to create the ultimate work out and relaxation space.

“Alongside a modern gym, steam room and sauna, the building will incorporate a full size indoor sports hall; this means we can accommodate activities such as volleyball and five-a-side football all year round.”

Plans for the new multi-use leisure centre at Lane End include:
·         A fully-equipped gymnasium featuring cutting-edge fitness equipment
·         Sauna and steam room
·         Large sports hall for indoor games
·         Two virtual golf booths
·         Café and fully licensed bar
·         Outside garden terrace with comfy seating

Brocklehurst Architects in West Wycombe – the practice responsible for designing Lane End’s Quadrangle and Pavilion building - were chosen to design the new leisure centre.

“In keeping with the contemporary, clean lines of our existing buildings, the new leisure centre will have a similar modern, minimalist look,” said Heni.

“As well as a spacious, open plan layout, the centre will have floor-to-ceiling windows offering fantastic views of the countryside.”

The new leisure centre will complement the conference centre’s current range of outdoor sports facilities, which include a 9-hole golf course, two tennis courts and five-a-side football pitch.

A popular conference destination with local and London-based businesses, Lane End is conveniently located 30-miles from the capital.

It is also one of the largest residential conference venues in the UK, offering over 100 en-suite bedrooms.

Other facilities the award-winning conference centre offers include:
·         Five self-contained conference buildings, including private reception, lounge and meeting areas
·         A choice of eight modern conference rooms
·         24 meeting rooms
·         Fresh on site catering by a dedicated team of chefs
·         Grade A+ broadband
·         Ample free parking.

As a recognised national training centre, Lane End hosts a variety of specialist team building events. These range from experiential learning activities - physical exercises designed to reinforce classroom training - to fun team challenges, such as chocolate making and bake-off contests.
