Tee-off for business at Woburn Golf Club

Woburn Golf Club
With spring just around the corner, world-renowned Woburn Golf Club has become one of the UK’s top golfing destinations for business, thanks to its compelling range of corporate memberships and golf day packages, combined with its recently refurbished clubhouse for corporate hospitality.

Conveniently located just one hour from London, Birmingham, Oxford and Cambridge, Woburn Golf Club is the only club in the UK and Ireland to have all three of its 54-hole championship courses ranked in the Top 100 by Golf Monthly.  Steeped in history, Woburn Abbey and the surrounding estate provide a striking backdrop for Woburn Golf Club – making it the ideal venue to make an impression on clients and colleagues alike.

Woburn offers two corporate membership options which have been designed to meet the business needs of corporate clients. Both provide access to the Duke’s, Duchess’ and Marquess’ courses and also offers a unique opportunity to entertain guests and business colleagues at a club which is celebrated for its warm and friendly environment.

Meanwhile, the prestigious golf club is also offering a wide selection of golf day packages starting from £189 per person for a round of golf followed and a three-course lunch on one of the Club’s three championship-standard courses, and ranging up to £299 per person for two rounds of golf played over a choice of three courses, a lighter buffet lunch or brunch, and dinner.

Woburn Golf Club’s corporate days have been designed to ensure that every need is met, and the experienced team offer a tailor-made service providing bespoke packages from arrival to the end of the day.

Within the Clubhouse, which was redeveloped in 2011 to bring the facilities off course up to a comparable standard with the excellent quality of the three golf courses, guests can enjoy a wide range of dining options to complement golf days including the Bloomsbury Room for breakfast, light snacks, lunches to teas and coffees. The Masters Bar and Russell Bar also provide the ideal spot for relaxing during a visit.  Whether catering for small parties through to parties of up to 200 guests, Woburn has the flexibility to offer exclusivity of a private room within the first-rate clubhouse.

Talking about the Club’s corporate offering, Jason O’Malley, General Manager at Woburn Golf Club, commented: “With over 30 years experience in arranging top quality corporate events for our clients, coupled with an excellent team of professionals at the Golf Club, we have a fantastic offering – three championship courses, a refurbished clubhouse and first rate hospitality are the key ingredients for clients wanting to host a truly memorable corporate golf event.

“The Club can also arrange for luxury overnight accommodation the estate’s hotel, The Inn at Woburn – with 48 bedrooms and seven character cottages, the Inn is just five minutes away in the heart of Woburn village.”

Having played host to some of the world’s top golfers, the club has hosted more than fifty Professional Tournaments, and Ian Poulter is the Club’s Touring Professional – a relationship which started in 2003.  By teeing off at Woburn Golf Club, avid golf fans will be joining the ranks of some of the sport’s top heroes by playing at Woburn Golf Club, including Steve Ballesteros, Nick Faldo, Sandy Lyle, Colin Montgomerie, Greg Norman, Patty Sheehan, Lee Trevion, Karrie Webb, plus major winners Laura Davies and Ian Woosnam.
