The Blue Moon Revue comes to Guildford in December

Isabelle L'Amour
Burlesque fans can this December enjoy performances by a variety of burlesque, dance, comedy and music acts at a bar in Guildford town centre.
Guildford Fringe Theatre Company will present The Blue Moon Revue at Bar des Arts, which is located opposite the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Millbrook, on Thursday, December 5 starting at 8pm. This is the second show that Guildford Fringe has brought to this classy wine and cocktail bar, the first being Cabaret Twist which played in November and received a standing ovation and a call for an encore.

Sara Burks, Co-owner of Bar des Arts, said: “We’re looking forward to a fabulous night of feathers and frills with performances by a variety of burlesque and cabaret acts from The Blue Moon Revue. We can’t wait to see all of the acts perform. We’re sure it’s going to be a brilliant night of entertainment.”

The show will feature dancing from world class twirler and belly dancer, Trixi Tassels, sassy 60s showgirl, Felicity Furore and singer, Sadie Sinner.

Also joining them on-stage will be Sirena Azure, Ruby Derriere, Bella Boom and Maria Lala.

The Blue Moon Revue is the brainchild of burlesque dancer Isabelle L’Amour. The show was put together in 2012 and features some of the UK’s up and coming burlesque dancers and cabaret performers. The evening is hosted by the dashing stand up, Alex Watts. Described as being like ‘Prince Harry on Speed’ by the Daily Mail, Alex’s comedic styling’s have brought a smile to faces all over the country, and now, he’s treading the boards in Guildford. Handsome and funny? Ladies, brace yourselves!

Entry on the night will cost £10. Booking is essential and can be done by calling Bar des Arts on 01483 453227.
