Eventia Awards reflect vibrant industry mix

With just two weeks left until the annual Eventia Awards celebrate success and the very best of the best from across the industry, the who’s who of those signed up to join in the celebrations reflects the diversity and depth of the awards competition according to Dale Parmenter, the Chairman of Eventia.

“The Eventia Awards continue to go from strength to strength and the range of categories and opportunities for us to embrace businesses from right across the industry is once again creating a really great mix of agencies, venues, suppliers and clients. We’ve worked hard over the last three years to ensure that we have the right awards in place to truly represent the diversity and richness of the sector and looking at the people that have already booked, I think we’re getting better at that every year – so a big thank you to all of them, the Awards Committee and our judges. I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone there on the night.”

This year the Eventia Awards will be hosted by top comedian and TV presenter Alexander Armstrong, who’ll be entertaining the fantastic mix of industry luminaries in the room. Agencies that have already booked their seats for the night include Capita Travel & Events, P&MM Ltd, Juice Live Communications, Worldspan Group, Corporate Awards, Slice, Grass Roots and Universal WorldEvents. The hotel sector is out in force too, with Hilton, Fairmount Raffles and Swissotel Hotels & Resorts, Jumeirah, Four Seasons and Kerzner International, One and Only Resorts all ready to enjoy the show.

Meanwhile venues such as the Natural History Museum, the NEC and Excel London will be rubbing shoulders with the likes of London & Partners, Barclays, Virgin Atlantic, Excel Events, Blitz Communications and Gallowglass. Harpreet Walia, who is looking after bookings for the night, is anticipating a busy couple of weeks before the Awards. She commented, “It always gets a bit manic in the last couple of weeks as people organise their bookings and finalise guests, but we’re really pleased with the response this year – my advice is just don’t leave it too late!”

Meanwhile a new sponsor has been added to the night with confirmation of Upjet Turizm as a new category sponsor, reflecting the continued presence of the international DMO and DMC membership in Eventia. Dale Parmenter added, “We’ve still got a couple of special sponsorship opportunities available, so do get in touch if you want to be involved on what promises to be a really great evening of celebration for the events industry.”
