Everton scores with football themed conference package

One of the country’s most famous sporting venues is kicking the competition into touch with a conference package inspired by the beautiful game.
Goodison Park, home to Everton Football Club, has drawn on some of the key elements used to improve players’ performance to create an Energiser package for those choosing the ground for meetings, conferences or team building events.

The day starts with a high energy Footballers’ Breakfast of fruit juices, cereals, fruit and toast in one of the club’s nine conference suites.

Delegates are then taken to the stadium’s Park End Concourse to take part in a range of gentle physical and mental tasks - suitable for all abilities - with the club’s community coaches with the aim of increasing energy and teamwork in preparation for the day ahead.

Lunch, prepared by the ground’s award-winning team of chefs, will be high in protein to boost brain power and consist of a hot fork buffet with meat, fish and vegetarian hot and cold dishes.

Refreshments will also be served throughout the day and the ground offers free wifi, free onsite parking for up to 300 cars and full use of its AV facilities.

Jacqui Boyle, sales and marketing manager for Sodexo Prestige, which manages catering and events at the stadium, said: “The aim of the package is to give delegates the opportunity to do some real team building, have some fun and build a rapport with each other.

“Footballers rely heavily on diet and on physical and mental training, so it makes perfect sense to pass on our expertise in those areas to our corporate clients.”

Prices for the Energiser package, which is available until 31 March 2014, start at £35 per delegate, however Sodexo offers a variety of alternative packages to suit other budgets and requirements.

All tasks included in the Energiser package are suitable for wheelchair users and for delegates of all ages.
