Organisers are confident they can build on the 100 exhibitors and 1,500 delegates that attended earlier this year, to create the largest business show outside of London and Birmingham. Victoria Beale, CEO of Rapid Sales Solutions LTD and founder of the Business Expo 3.0 said: “We could never have imagined the response we received to the first expo in 2013. We attracted national and international businesses to Milton Keynes including EasyJet, Silverstone, Experian, but it was also a powerful platform for local businesses such as Mirus IT, David Lock Associates and Julia Charles Management.
Victoria adds;“We are well into the planning stages for 2014 and we already have interest from past and new businesses together with some exciting and inspiring key speakers. 16 workshops will be taking place during the day covering useful topics from ‘lead generation’, ‘social media’, to ‘auto enrolment’ and ‘finance’. “
Some of the businesses confirmed to date include Santander, Companies House, IPO, Jonathan Vowles Chartered Accountants, De Vere, 4N Networking, FSB Bucks, MAS (Manufacturing Advisory Service), Institute of Directors (IoD) Bucks and speakers lined up are; Francis Goss of Grass Roots Group (employee engagement); and author, speaker and CEO Cris Beswick (leadership and management) .
Leader of the MK Council, Andrew Geary said: “We will once again be stressing the value delivered by local MK businesses on an international scale, and the strategic location that Milton Keynes provides to serve the global marketplace.
“Milton Keynes is always referred to as the place to be – and there are many, many good reasons for that.”
Over 500,000 businesses and business owners will be invited to the event, which is projected to attract 5,000 visitors. Beale adds: “Milton Keynes is the fastest growing ‘city’ outside of London with easily accessible and fast routes by road, rail and air. It is home to some of the UK’s largest head offices such as Mercedes-Benz, Home Retail Group and Network Rail and we believe it is a hub for business growth and development for SMEs and large corporate blue chip companies. The Expo is the opportunity to bring like-minded people together, network, learn and be inspired.”
