Tingle Creek Festival offers unrivalled corporate hospitality and festive family funTop London racecourse Sandown Park will step back to Victorian times for this year’s Tingle Creek Festival on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 December. One of the top events in the sport’s calendar, the festival attracts racing and non-racing fans alike and provides an excellent opportunity for family-friendly corporate get-togethers in the run up to Christmas.
Sandown Park - one of the iconic Jockey Club Racecourses - will welcome visitors of all ages to enjoy a host of activities at this premier event. Family-friendly entertainment will be set against a backdrop of the thrill of the races, including the Grade 1 Tingle Creek Chase, named after of one of the legendary racehorses of the 1970s era, which won many races on this turf.
Race-goers will get in the Christmas spirit from the moment they step off the train at Esher railway station, welcomed with a traditional horse and carriage ride to Sandown Park. There, they will be greeted by Father Christmas and a choir singing Christmas carols.
The Victorian-themed festive frolics will include the chance for children to meet Santa, carousel rides and more carols led by the fabulous New London Singers who perform regularly at St Martin-in-the-Fields and Kings Place, London. Within the racecourse’s Esher Hall race-goers can enjoy a performance of the pantomime Cinderella free of charge.
Racing fans will be treated to the sight of top horses and jockeys in action on one of Britain’s most demanding courses. They will also be able to join the audience at the William Hill Winter Festival Preview Panel following the last race of the day, where key racing personalities will give their insights into the King George VI Steeple Chase, which takes place at Kempton Park, Sandown’s sister racecourse, on Boxing Day.
Rupert Trevelyan, Regional Director – London, said: “This is one of the highlights of our year at Sandown Park. An event for all ages, it offers a different twist on corporate hospitality, allowing guests to bring the family along, too with lots of entertainment both on and off the track.”
For race-goers wanting an extra special day out to celebrate the festive season, there are a variety of superb hospitality options available to enjoy during the two day Christmas Festival, from dining in Sandown’s award winning restaurant Equus (winner of the Best Fine Dining Award at the 2013 National Racecourse Catering Awards) to having your very own private box, all with fantastic views of the racetrack.
Race-goers booking hospitality before the end of October can grab a real bargain, with a 10 per cent discount on all hospitality on Friday 6 December and 20 per cent discount for any hospitality on Saturday 7 December when quoting ‘early bird booking discount’ upon booking.
