Thorpe Park hosts VIP horror movie themed Fright Nights preview

Thorpe Park Fright Night
On Friday 4th October over 150 VIP guests, event professionals and celebrities including boy band Union J, Susie Amy and Kaya Scodelarlo attended the Fright Nights preview at the nation’s thrill capital THORPE PARK. The preview launched the new format for the Halloween events, which sees THORPE PARK team up with Lionsgate UK for the first time to present horror movie themed Fright Nights.

The preview gave event professionals a taster of the new VIP corporate offering for Fright Nights which gives guest’s access to their very own *RIP Lounge complete with soft furnishings, a pop-up bar and a selection of bowl food. Jennifer Connery, Head of Corporate Events, THORPE PARK said: "The new addition of the RIP Lounge adds a touch of luxury an evening of terror! Guests receive a greater experience as they can enjoy all the thrills of the Park and regain their composure from the terrifying onslaught of Fright Nights in the park’s exclusive Lounge.”

On arrival guests were ushered to Bar 360 by actors dressed as the masked murders from the film You’re Next for light bites and reception drinks. A team of specially trained scare actors performed brilliantly popping up eerily as guests mingled and stopping to pose for pictures.

Later guests headed into the heart of the Park to experience the new immersive live action mazes based on iconic horror films including My Bloody Valentine 3D, cult classic The Blair Witch Project, The Cabin in the Woods and the recently released You’re Next.  The live action horror mazes Saw Alive and The Asylum which featured in previous Fright Nights made a return. Brave guests took on THORPE PARK’s thrilling rides including THE SWARM the UK’s first winged rollercoaster, Stealth one of Europe’s fastest and tallest rollercoasters and Colossus the world’s first ten inversion rollercoaster in the dark.

The Fright Nights events will run on 5th- 6th, 11th-13th, 18th-20th October and 25th October- 3rd November 2013.
