Since January, enquiries have increased month on month, with the venue receiving 50% more enquiries and site visits in August than it did in January. Alongside improvements in the market, the venue attributes its success to new investments and developments in its marketing and marketing strategies. For a venue whose primary business is not conferences and events but music and education this is particularly positive news in these challenging financial times.
LSO St Luke’s is one of London’s most impressive and stylish venues. The Grade I listed Hawksmoor church celebrated its 10th anniversary as a venue in 2013. More commonly associated with LSO Discovery, the London Symphony Orchestra’s music education programme, its location close to the ‘Silicone Roundabout’ makes it a popular venue for private and corporate events such as conferences, meetings, award ceremonies and gala dinners.
LSO St Luke’s Sales and Marketing Manager Victoria Steinitz comments: “The last 12 months have shown LSO St Luke’s continues to go from strength to strength as an events space. Selling the space on almost all available dates is a real challenge but we have marketed ourselves strongly. Our figures show a steady increase in enquiries and site visits, which in turn create new business. We have a strong forecast for events this autumn and are confident our success will continue.”
LSO St Luke’s largest event space is the spectacular Jerwood Hall, which has a capacity of 450 people. All its spaces have internet access and integrated AV equipment, and LSO St Luke’s works with a wide variety of approved suppliers and a bespoke event management agency to deliver successful events that exceed the expectations of its diverse client base.
