Grand Canyon West to remain open during government shutdown of national parks

Grand Canyon Resort Corporation (GCRC) today provided a statement in response to the United States federal government shutdown:
During the current federal government situation, GCRC will continue normal operations of its Grand Canyon attractions and lodging destinations.

As Grand Canyon West is owned and operated by the Hualapai Indian Tribe, it is not included in the 401 National Park Service closures. Current and future guests should not expect the current political climate to effect their Grand Canyon West plans.

GCRC will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates on its operations via its Facebook page ( and contact with local media.
