Church House bursts with colour and creativity for China National Day anniversary celebrations

Church House Conference Centre was awash with colour when it hosted the recent China National Day 64th anniversary pre-celebrations.
The event was attended by more than 500 Chinese guests, including the Chinese Ambassador and a host of VIPs. Around 70 performers wearing traditional Chinese dress took part in a display which included dancing, singing and martial arts filling Church House with an abundance of colour.

The event also included a reception for 100 guests in the prestigious Bishop Partridge Hall which overlooks Westminster Abbey and Dean’s Yard.

The official China National Day celebrations traditionally take place on October 1st each year to mark the anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The pre-celebrations at Church House Conference Centre were organised by the Confederation of Chinese Associations UK as a community event.

Robin Parker, General Manager at Church House Conference Centre, says: “We were delighted to welcome guests to our venue for their China National Day pre-celebrations. It is always a privilege to work on such important and unique events. The performances were inspiring, bursting with colour and creativity.”

Vedrana Dancerelle, Deputy Operations Manager at Church House Conference Centre, commented: “Our team thoroughly enjoyed working on this impressive event.  The organisers were very happy with how the event went and have already said that they would like to come back to Church House for their celebrations next year.”
