International associations convene in the Stuttgart Region

International associations favour the Stuttgart Region as a congress location because of its reputation as a centre of science, commerce and research, paired with an excellent infrastructure. For the coming autumn and spring, the Stuttgart Region has succeeded in acquiring high-calibre association congresses.

More and more, the Stuttgart Region is developing into one of Germany's foremost congress and conference destinations. It stands out as an innovative economic and scientific location by virtue of its excellent regional competencies. Stuttgart as a congress destination also leads the field with regard to sustainability. The airport and many of the hotels and congress venues hold certification to this effect or have implemented sustainable strategies. The Stuttgart Region is highly regarded as an established location for association conferences – not least because of its successful network of professional partners. This autumn it will once again host a whole series of top-ranking scientific congresses:

DEGUM / EUROSON International Congress for Ultrasound
c. 2000 participants at the ICS International Congress Center Stuttgart

27th – 29th November 2013
STUVA Conference of the Research Association for Underground Transportation Facilities

In the coming year, too, the Stuttgart Region is much in demand as an attractive congress location. In May 2014, for example, there's the 20th MDO 2014 international symposium with approximately 600 participants. The Filderhalle Congress and Conference Center in Leinfelden-Echterdingen – only 20 minutes from the heart of Stuttgart – holds Green Globe certification and convinced particularly through its commitment to sustainability.
