Banksy’s Bristol to inspire corporate groups

Bristol, the birthplace of elusive World-renowned artist Banksy and street art capital of the UK, has launched a programme of unique street art experiences for corporate groups.  It will see delegates picking up a spray can and trying their hands at aerosol art right in the heart of the city’s creative community.

The corporate team-building packages have been devised by ‘Where the Wall’, a company bringing people closer to creative urban art forms. Their popular street art tours have become a mainstay of Bristol, introducing people to the artists who regularly paint in the city.

The imaginative team building sessions include:
• A one-hour guided tour around some of Bristol’s finest street artworks including famous Banksy murals and a stroll along Nelson Street - an entire street of jaw-dropping artwork in central Bristol by internationally-acclaimed graffiti and street artists
• A hands-on street art workshop led by a local artist underneath ‘Mild, mild west’ one of Banksy’s most iconic murals in the heart of Bristol’s creative community
• A two-course lunch at The Canteen in Stokes Croft, a vibrant café that uses ethically-sourced and local, seasonal ingredients in its delicious daily changing menu

Shelley Bishop, Destination Bristol’s Conference Manager, said “Bristol has a reputation for being a city that encourages creativity, imagination and freedom and the street art really captures that spirit of the city.

“It’s wonderful that some of the creative talents at the forefront of the art scene in Bristol are able to offer their knowledge and skills to corporate groups like this and we know that delegates will leave the sessions feeling inspired, liberated and with heads full of ideas.”

Destination Bristol will be at Square Meal venues and events in Old Billingsgate, London on 18 and 19 September to talk more about this and other packages, venues and offers that Bristol has for corporate groups.
