The Chartered Institute of Housing books The Brighton Centre for three consecutive years

The Brighton Centre has announced the confirmation of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) South East Conference and exhibition for three consecutive years, bringing an estimated economic impact of £2.4 million to the City of Brighton & Hove.

“We’re happy to confirm that we will be holding our 2014, 2015 and 2016 South East Conference & Exhibition at the Brighton Centre”, explains Martin Pearce, CIH SE Board Chair. “We attended the Centre’s Ultimate Site Visit event last summer and were delighted to see its transformation. It was very clear that the refurbishment programme has been a great success and the Ultimate Site Visit showcased the Centre brilliantly, highlighting different ways each room could be used, which enabled us to envisage our own event at the venue”.

CIH is the independent voice for housing and the home of professional standards. Its goal is to provide housing professionals with the advice, support and knowledge they need to be brilliant. CIH is a registered charity and not-for-profit organisation, which means that the money it makes is put back into the organisation and funds the activities it carries out to support the housing sector. Last year CIH reinvested £11 million into the sector. CIH’s South East Conference is the largest in the region and will attract more than1000 attendees from London and the South East.

Howard Barden, General Manager for the Brighton Centre said, “I am extremely pleased, to welcome back the Chartered Institute of Housing to the venue, to hold three consecutive Conferences and exhibitions here at the Brighton Centre.  We are very happy to see the CIH return, and very much looking forward to the development of this exciting alliance”.
