Following a competitive pitch, Skylab will initially focus on the creation of a new website for the venue side of the business, helping to celebrate the naming rights deal.
When completed, the new website will showcase the venue’s ability to generate revenue from non-matchday sales and deliver world class events for conferences, dinners, exhibitions, weddings, Christmas parties, private parties, meetings and training.
LCCC’s venue sales manager, Angela Hodson said: “The launch of the website will be an important tool that will enable us to highlight the varied conference and events offerings we have in The Point, the Pavilion and the Players and Media Centre.”
Daniel Gidney, chief executive of Lancashire County Cricket Club, commented: “Skylab’s passion, level of detail and enthusiasm in creating our new digital platform clearly shone through what was a competitive tendering process. We are delighted with their appointment and look forward to a close and productive working relationship during what is a crucial and exciting time at Emirates Old Trafford.”
Skylab managing director, Nigel Collier, added: “It’s a privilege to be working with such a historic club. We were selected due to our strong blend of innovation, creative and technical skills, married with our unashamedly commercial approach to helping clients generate new revenue online.”
Nigel adds: “The partnership with LCCC further underpins Skylab’s natural sector strength in digital strategy and sports marketing.”
