Orthodontic professionals prepare for Manchester conference

The largest specialist meeting in the UK dental calendar is gearing up for its September event at Manchester Central. The British Orthodontic Conference 2013 is set to attract more than 1,200 delegates from across the profession, with homegrown and international speakers talking about leading industry research and clinical practice.

It is the first time the three-day conference (19th-21st September) has been held at Manchester Central, the North of England’s leading conference, exhibitions and events venue, as it makes the most of the venue’s vibrant city centre location.

Angie Robinson, Chief Executive of Manchester Central, said: “The British Orthodontic Society (BOS) is the sole national body for all orthodontic matters and carries out hugely important work. This conference will attract the leading professionals in the business and will cover some real cutting-edge research so I am delighted that Manchester Central has been chosen to host such an important event.

“Our modern, redeveloped venue at the heart of Manchester city centre should provide the perfect setting for the first conference BOS has held in Manchester.”

Simon Littlewood, Conference Chair, said: “The British Orthodontic Conference is the most important date in the calendar for orthodontic providers in the UK, so it is key that we have a top quality venue to reflect this. We are therefore delighted to be holding the 27th annual conference of the British Orthodontic Conference at Manchester Central”.
