Malta, A Better Destination for Superyachts 2013 Seminar

The Malta Tourism Authority has announced that the seminar ‘Malta, A Better Destination For Superyachts!’ will be held on Wednesday 11th September at the Grand Hotel Excelsior in Valletta, Malta. It will be the third in the biannual Malta Superyacht seminar series, dedicated to the yachting industry.

‘Malta, A Better Destination For Superyachts! is organised by the publishers of ‘Yachting in Malta’ Wilfred Sultana & Associates. The content discussed will relate to superyachts in general and the Malta yachting industry. It will once again have the endorsement and cooperation of the International Superyacht Society, who will not only provide speakers for the day but give Malta’s local yachting activity global exposure through their esteemed marketing network.

Dr. Chris Cardona, Minister for the Economy, Investment and Small Business, responsible for maritime affairs will be the main speaker at the September Seminar 2013. A programme highlighting the topics to be presented and the respective speakers is to be announced shortly.

A new concept in this year’s seminar will be a 30-minute open discussion by a panel of three experts who will have the opportunity to offer their topic related points immediately following a number of presentations by guest speakers.

The main sponsors of this third Yachting in Malta Seminar are Kirton & Co Ltd, Medcomms Ltd, Melita Marine Group, Palumbo Malta Superyachts, S&D Yachts Ltd, the International Yachting Management Ltd Professional Yachting Association, The Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association, Transport Malta and the Grand Hotel Excelsior.

Malta is the perfect yachting destination with its unrivalled geographical position, in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea. Boasting one of the largest natural harbours in the world and state of the art marinas no wonder it is a natural choice for yachtsmen all over the world.

“Malta’s popularity as a yachting destination is continuously increasing, its strategic positioning, safe environment, clear azure waters and Mediterranean climate, makes it an attractive destination for yachting. We are looking forward to welcoming the speakers and delegates to the seminar to promote the services available in Malta and the high standard of facilities through the local yachting industry” - Alex Incorvaja, MTA Director - UK & Ireland.
