The thrilling nature of the game has made T20 an exciting format, which is especially accessible for those with hectic lifestyles. The matches – which last for a maximum of three hours – are played during the evenings or at the weekend, and have become increasingly popular for the speed at which the action unfolds.
As part of the t20 offering at Lord’s this summer, the Ground will be providing hospitality packages in two of its spaces - the Grand Stand and the Marylebone Suite – they are conveniently located close to the seats in the Grand and Mound Stands. Guests can look forward to a gourmet buffet and complimentary beverages throughout the match, as they watch the action unfold at the revered “Home of Cricket”.
All created by the Ground’s Executive Head Chef, Tim Harrington, using the finest, locally sourced, seasonal ingredients, guests can enjoy a savoury menu including: Cornish crab and celeriac remoulade; cured venison with gordal olives; pulled Gloucestershire old spot shoulder of pork; and roast asparagus and rocket with a pesto dressing. This will be followed by an irresistible dessert selection of baked vanilla bean cheesecake with strawberries; triple chocolate brownie with caramelised popcorn, and a selection of English farmhouse cheeses with apricot and plum chutney.
Hospitality is available for all three Friends Life t20 matches at Lord’s, with one weekend and two evening fixtures available: Middlesex v Sussex on Sunday 30th June, Middlesex v Essex on Thursday 4th July and Middlesex v Surrey on Thursday 25th July.
