The interior and service concepts of Finland's largest cluster of restaurants. Design work will focus on experiences, a cosy atmosphere and sustainable solutions. Structures, surfaces, colours and lighting will be completely renewed.
“We are investing in versatility and comfort. There will be restaurants to meet every taste: from wine tasting to beer and sausages, salads to sturdy home cooking, coffee drinks to traditional Finnish baking and a wide range of pastries. One of the Exhibition & Convention Centre's novelties is a food restaurant which will adjust its menu to whichever event is taking place. The idea is to serve event-themed classics in an easy-going restaurant open from dawn till dusk, says Veronica Krabbe, Customer Services Director at the Exhibition & Convention Centre.
“We have more than a million individual visitors every year, which means that our spectrum of clients is very wide. Some of them will want to enjoy a cosy coffee break and smell freshly baked buns, while others head to the sports bar for a beer in front of the big screen. Our events vary from fashion to logistics fairs, and from book fairs to technology events and summer festivals. Now we will be able to offer something for everyone,” promises Krabbe.
In the future, the restaurants will offer increasingly tailored services to our growing number of meeting and congress clients and various celebrations and cocktail events.
17 restaurants and cafés – including the new Fazer Café
Responsible for restaurant services at the Exhibition & Convention Centre, Fazer is known for its strong tradition of handiwork, good service and the best-known chocolate brand in the Nordic Countries. Fazer is strongly involved in the development of the new restaurants and service concept at the Exhibition & Convention Centre.
“The restaurant world will carry a completely new Fazer Café concept, drawing on the tradition of the Karl Fazer Café on Kluuvinkatu, Helsinki. The café will carry bakery and confectionery products, chocolate drinks and smoothies, and salads – the whole range of modern, high-quality café menu. High-quality service guarantees a rewarding café experience in elegant premises, where each detail is carefully considered, says Kristian Helanne, Key Account Director at Fazer Ravintolat.
Fazer's restaurant offering at the restaurant world is complemented by Pizza Hut, Hesburger, Wok'n'Curry and the pasta restaurant Pasta Sapore. Fair visitors' favourite snack, liquorice, and other sweets are available in Galleria and from vendor booths in the halls.
