Jockey Club Venues’ South-West racecourses partner with Joules for festival season

From 1st May to 31st August 2013, The Jockey Club’s four South-West venues (Cheltenham, Exeter, Warwick and Wincanton Racecourses) have teamed up with fashion brand Joules to offer this summer’s festival footwear must-have to event planners booking conferences for over 100 delegates at Cheltenham, and 40 delegates at the remaining South-West racecourses.

Following the success of the promotion launched at Cheltenham Racecourse in May, the Joules Posh Welly offer will be rolled out across all four South-West racecourses to reward event organisers for choosing the venue for their meeting or conference. With summer approaching, and the inevitable muddy conditions at festivals including Glastonbury, Isle of Wight and Reading, the style trend for summertime wellies is once again on the up.  

Joules, initially established as a country and equestrian clothing company, has enjoyed a longstanding relationship with Jockey Club Venues, having hosted clothing sales at racecourses including Kempton Park, Newbury and Cheltenham in the past. As well as fairs and exhibitions, all Jockey Club Venues racecourses offer extensive facilities for events such as live music nights, meetings, and conferences for up to 2,000 people.  

Matthew Foxton-Duffy, regional head of marketing– South-West – The Jockey Club, said: “We initially partnered with Joules for the Posh Wellies promotion at Cheltenham Racecourse. However, the South-West and its four racecourses have so much to offer for event bookers that we wanted to bring our offers in line to be available at all our regional racecourses. We’re delighted to be able to provide something to hopefully entice festival-going event planners to book our venues.”
