Lake Maggiore Region creates new tourism and meeting hub for business market

Lake Maggiore
Hotels and businesses across the region of Lake Maggiore on the border of Italy and Switzerland have created and new innovative way of working designed to promote the whole of their region to the business and tourism market

The Lake Maggiore Meeting Industry is a new hub made up of organisations including hotels, business groups such as the Chambers of Commerce, and Local Authorities.  Its aim is to promote the whole of the Lake Maggiore region to the business meeting and events market.

The hub helps organisers source the hotels and venues within the region that can help meet the needs of clients wishing to hold conferences and events in the area, making the whole process of booking the right venue quicker and easier. The aim is to pull the region together as a whole, giving one central point for enquiries so that organisers can assess all hotel and venue options in one easy step.

Judy Till, Managing Director of RAM Organisation, who represents the Lake Maggiore region in the UK said: “This is a refreshing concept designed to make the whole process of booking a venue for a business meeting or event quick and easier.  Lake Maggiore is a stunning region offering 16,700 rooms in 394 hotels, together with fantastic conference facilities – 494 meeting rooms with a total capacity of 49,551 seats.  The region has not chosen to market itself to the UK before so RAM  are delighted to be on board to help raise the profile of this stunning part of Europe.”
