The 1-2-1 meeting system has been designed to offer delegates an easy and reliable solution to connecting with other attendees at events without the need for an app or separate provider. The meeting system will sit within Event Connections’ bespoke online registration platform; fully branded to the client’s design. The tool allows delegates to opt into the networking system as part of the registration process and create a profile.
Attendees will then be able to send a meeting request to another delegate with a suggested meeting time. If accepted, the system then allocates an available meeting space at the event. A delegate’s availability will take into account other meetings as well as any seminars that they have signed up to.
Event Connections will also be offering online and offline support as part of its delegate management service, also fully branded in the name of the event or client.
On the day of the event, delegates will be able to access and edit their event agenda, see if their appointments have arrived and make any changes to their schedule on their own devices and online.
The new 1-2-1 meetings system will be launched at Venturefest, Oxford’s flagship annual networking event for over 800 delegates taking place on 29th June at the Kings’ Centre in Oxford.
Andy Barr, Director at Event Connections, comments: “With our new 1-2-1 meetings system, event organisers can now offer all delegates a chance to truly connect and network at large scale events without the need for a separate app. We could not be more thrilled with how the new system has worked out and we are looking forward to seeing the results when we officially launch the product at Venturefest 2016.”
Lynn Shepherd, Executive Chair at Venturefest Oxford, adds: "Event Connections’ contribution is vital to the success of Venturefest and the new 1-2-1 meeting system adds another unique dimension to our delegates’ experience. Networking always comes top of our post-event survey and this system makes it even easier for our visitors to connect with just the right people for them."
