Guestline training events to boost hotel revenue

Make the most out of your technology investment with Guestline training workshops

Guestline has arranged a series of regional training workshops across the UK to enable hoteliers to maximise the potential from their technology investment.
Intended to boost revenue, improve knowledge and streamline operations, the workshops are all focussed on specific areas of the systems including management and financial reporting, rate management, online optimisation, special events, distribution and system best practice.

The aim of the workshops, that take place across the UK, is to help hoteliers implement time and money-saving improvements back at their site or across their group. Ideal for building a greater understanding of the systems and functionality, refreshing your knowledge or for new staff, the first training workshop of 2015 will focus on building and managing rates.

Other workshops will focus on improving management reports, direct bookings, daily rates, promotions and channel exposure. The training courses have so far proved popular and insightful amongst delegates.

Sandra Cunningham, Sales Manager at Lodge on Loch Lomond commented, ‘I attended the Guestline Rate Management and Online Optimisation Course which was ideal for us as we are currently focusing on maximising and developing our online revenue potential for both of our hotels.  It was great to look at different rate strategies and competitor analysis and then move onto the set up, management and reporting – some of the courses focus on the mechanics of using Guestline’s systems however this one provides a good mix of ideas on how to maximise revenue and also then implement those ideas. 

As a result, we’ve had great results in converting more direct bookings and by introducing a dynamic occupancy based rate strategy have increased our ARR and Revpar.’

Subsequently, our forward bookings last Christmas were 3 times better than we had in previous years - we put this down to our OBM,, the live availability and up to date rates that the channels have access to. The one-to-one tuition with the trainers was helpful to answer specific questions and resolve any queries we had. It was a good refresher course and I would certainly recommend it.’
