Amadeus and the GTMC announce strategic partnership to promote understanding of the role of technology in shaping the future of travel

Evidence of this partnership in action is a joint research initiative into the changing landscape of hotel distribution and its implications for the role of Travel Management Companies in meeting the needs of modern business travellers
Amadeus, a leading technology provider for the global travel industry, announces a new strategic partnership with the Guild of Travel Management Companies in the United Kingdom. The 40 GTMC members account for around 80% of all outbound business travel bookings made through travel professionals in the UK.

Amadeus has recently engaged with key stakeholders from the GTMC’s Hotel Strategy group as part of its Hotel Insights Report. The report follows in the footsteps of the technology company’s UK Business Insights reports that were published at the beginning of 2013 and again in 2014 and were freely distributed to the industry.   

As part of the 360 degree approach to understanding the issues and the evolving needs of travel professionals, Amadeus has also undertaken research among UK business travellers and corporate buyers in association with the Institute of Travel & Meetings. The findings of this research will be presented, along with a published copy of the report, at the GTMC’s Autumn Conference in London on 3rd November.
