Liverpool’s Camp and Furnace invests in new event management technology to manage growing event business

Priava, the leading cloud-based venue management software company, has announced that one of Liverpool’s most unique venues Camp and Furnace will deploy the organisation’s cloud based venue and event management booking system to manage the booking and on-going management of its growing volume of events.
Including a restaurant, bar, indoor festival site, music venue, pop-up event space, conference location, cultural hub and all-round surprising destination, Camp and Furnace, which launched in 2012 has quickly gained a reputation as one of the country’s most exciting places to eat and drink and was voted 2nd in The Times’, ‘Top 20 coolest restaurants in Britain’.

With the venue hosting regular weekend events and 2-3 corporate events per week, Manager at Camp & Furnace, Ian Richards explains why they selected technology from Priava to assist with event management: “When we first started trading we were using an on-line calendar based system to manage events, but as the volume of events began to grow, we knew we would need more sophisticated technology to do this more efficiently. We reviewed three systems in total but felt that Priava was best suited to our needs and came recommended by industry colleagues. In particular we liked the drop down menu functionality, the simplicity of its outputs and the reporting options.

"We believe that the Priava technology will massively streamline the delivery of events and assist with the interface between our Events Team and Front of House / Production departments.”

The venue covers an entire city block and has space in abundance hired out for product launches, fashion shows, exhibitions, dinners, weddings and private parties.

From product launches to fashion shows, trade events to corporate dinners, Camp and Furnace’s corporate client list reads like a who’s who of national and international brands. Global heavyweights such as Google, Adidas, Nike, Red Bull, M.A.C and the BBC have all chosen to bring their events to Camp and Furnace.

Liverpool’s growing popularity as an event destination has also been highlighted in recent research that revealed that the value of international meetings and conferences, brought £39 million to the city’s economy this year.
