The Chedi Andermatt has announced a unique line up of summer packages. With something to satisfy the intrepid explorer, animal lover, and foodie the packages allow guests to make the most out of the picturesque Swiss Alps during the sunnier months and discover all that the region has to offer whilst indulging in five-star luxury.

Explore in style: Discover the Heart of the Swiss Alps
Perfect for those wanting to explore the Swiss Alps, this two-night package includes a private guide who can show the best of what region has to offer. Beginning with a guided tour of the charming village of Andermatt, guests will then be taken on an Alpine exploration of the famous passes, including the Gotthard Pass where they can visit the Sasso San Gottardo – an intriguing and impressive historic fortress of the Swiss Army that is built into the mountain. After venturing inside the mountain, it’s time to soak up some sky-high sun whilst enjoying the breathtaking views by scaling the 2,429m Furka Pass followed by a stop at the Rhône Glacier. Lunchtime will be spent overlooking the Grimsel storage lake from the historical Grimsel Hospiz, which reigns majestically at 2,000m. After an active day out, the scenic drive back over the passes to The Chedi Andermatt will provide guests with some downtime and a chance to simply sit back and take in the views.

Indulge in style: The Chedi Culinary Experience
This gastronomic getaway offers the ultimate foodie experience and is perfect for those passionate about cheese. As part of the package, guests will go for a short hike where to visit a local cheese dairy in the morning, guided by the hotel’s Sports Butler. Following the hike, guests will be able to experience a rustic mountain breakfast before learning about traditional Swiss cheese-making and indulging in some samples. The evening will be spent enjoying a four-course dinner at The Restaurant, where it’s time to sample more local delights, with wine to match. For the grand finale, guests will meet with The Chedi Andermatt’s Sommelier at the impressive five meter high, ‘wine and cheese cellar,’ where wine enthusiasts can learn about perfect cheese and wine pairings.

Alpine Animal Adventures: Goat Trekking
Animal enthusiasts will go wild for this two-night package, which offers guests the opportunity to experience a traditional mountain trek, with the aid of some furry friends – Alpine goats! A local guide will lead guests through the picturesque mountains surrounding Andermatt, accompanied by these amiable animals, who will even carry the lunch. The package includes an al-fresco picnic-lunch in a mountain meadow, allowing hikers to savour the crystal clear Alpine air and pristine scenery. Perfect for families and animal lovers alike, this unique package offers the ultimate traditional mountain adventure.
