Southport Conferences to support Association Events Forum

Association Events Forum
Southport Conferences, Hilton Worldwide and Shocklogic will sponsor the Association Events Forum at International Confex this year. The programme, which is being produced in partnership with Associations Network, will see content provided for over 350 association buyers that attend the event.

Each of the supporters will also be exhibiting at International Confex, allowing further opportunity to promote their many USPs for association events. The partnership with Confex will also see joint branding for supporters throughout the Association Educational Theatre.

“It’s great to have these brands on board with the association programme; they are all long term supporters of Confex and this partnership will give them another opportunity to engage with this important sector,” comments Liz Agostini, Event Director, International Confex. “It’s also great that each will be bringing their own great content to the show and will enrich the experience for the visitors.”

Southport Conferences will also be curating a special session within the programme to engage association buyers on how to work collaboratively with destinations and venues. Part of Southport Conference’s activity at the show will be to once again shine a light on the important topic of business extension, however this time with the objective of presenting an argument for event organisers to engage more with the trend.

“This is a really important and very successful market for us so we’re pleased to have the opportunity to meet and work with such a rich quality of association event organisers,” comments Enda Rylands, Chair of the Business Tourism Steering Group for Southport Conferences. “We’re keen to learn more from event organisers on the subject of business extension and how they can benefit from this growing trend.”
