World Travel Market Africa means business

The countdown is on and with less than two months to go, World Travel Market (WTM) Africa is set to exceed all targets and expectations as it prepares to bring to Africa an exceptional experience for visitors and exhibitors alike.
As the only trade show in the region offering both inbound and outbound exhibitors the growth in uptake of space at the show is testimony to the evidence that WTM Africa means business.


“The response we have received from exhibitors for our second year has just been tremendous and we are still signing up new exhibitors as we speak,” said Carol Weaving, MD of Thebe Reed Exhibitions.

Commenting on what she attributes to the growth Carol continued: “WTM Africa was a great success last year. I think our industry were mainly watching from the side-lines on how it would perform, and this year companies who are serious about meeting the right people, conducting productive meetings and getting a return on their investment, do not want to miss out. In addition, we are attracting not only buyers looking for African product alone. Travel professionals can expect to choose from over 400 exhibiting companies with whom to do business, interact with likeminded individuals from over 60+ countries around the globe including other parts of Africa, attend debates and seminars and listen to topical and beneficial talks from a vast array of speakers covering to-the-point topics that have a direct impact on the business of travel.

Exhibitors can expect to meet with hosted buyers on pre-set compulsory appointments and have access to Buyers Club members and other visiting travel professionals. Exhibitors will be rubbing shoulders with the crème de la crème of the industry, have the opportunity to attend the speed networking sessions, attend social engagements and events and participate in the conference and seminar sessions. All of this for an average package cost of ZAR 32 188.00 (excl VAT) for 9m² stand.

In collaboration with the Host City, the City of Cape Town, the event that puts the world’s spotlight on Africa and promotes Africa to the world, will be taking place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) from April 15-17, 2015.
