Microsoft to showcase Bing Pulse live audience voting technology at International Confex

Microsoft will showcase its popular live audience voting technology, Bing Pulse at this year’s International Confex thanks to a new sponsorship with this exciting self-service audience engagement tool for broadcast and event producers.
International Confex is the UK’s leading event for the meetings and events industry, taking place 18-19 February 2015, at Olympia London.  Microsoft’s Senior Director, Corporate Strategy Greg Shaw will be delivering the keynote “Data Not Anecdotes” on February 19.

International Confex will be using Bing Pulse during the Association Events Forum and some of the sessions in the keynote theatre to gauge audience feedback in real-time. Further, Microsoft will be sponsoring the Association Events Forum, a new one-day event running as part of the educational programme offered at Confex. The Association Events Forum will include a combination of invitations to exclusive events, networking opportunities and a programme of dedicated content aimed specifically at association event planners

“We’re thrilled that Microsoft have chosen Confex as the UK event to showcase their latest offering,” commented Liz Agostini, Event Director. “For arguably the world’s largest corporation to demonstrate such confidence in aligning its brand with Confex, demonstrates that we are putting Confex firmly back in pole position for the events industry.”

"This relationship with Confex further marks our commitment to providing the best audience engagement tool for the events industry," explains Josh Gottheimer, General Manager, Corporate Strategy at Microsoft. "We've successfully tested this product and know that Bing Pulse effectively incites audiences of any size to the programming and allows event producers to get real-time feedback.  We look forward to working together with the common goal of increasing audience engagement during live events and conferences."

Microsoft's Bing Pulse is a leading audience engagement technology for live feedback from audiences of any size, during any event, and on any device and browser. Bing Pulse gives viewers, both in-person and online, the ability to respond every 5 seconds, and as often as they want, to the content they're watching. Pulse also gives users the opportunity to respond to poll questions and to see how others are responding to the event in real-time.

Through a highly flexible producer dashboard, Bing Pulse 2.0 beta puts the event organizers in control of the experience by allowing them to easily set up, customize and control the event - and keep their audience engaged via a simultaneous second screen experience on their mobile devices.

The benefits of Bing Pulse 2.0 beta include:
• Voting or "Pulsing”: Live, continuous sentiment voting or "pulsing” as often as every five seconds, with instant tracking of the results
• Polling: Live polling of audience, with immediate results
• Data Visualization: Real-time graphic display of results for Pulses
• Scalability: Pulse can scale to any size audience
• Mobile ubiquity: Participants can vote from any device using any browser
• Privacy: Anonymous voting with no data tracking
• Reporting: Instantaneous results can be shown on screen through live graphics integration or curated to circulate afterwards
