Belfast Waterfront to showcase 3D extension flythrough at IMEX America

Belfast Waterfront Conference and Exhibition Centre is to showcase a 3D flythrough of its 4,000m2 (43,056ft²) extension at IMEX America from Tuesday 14 to Thursday 16 October 2014.
Visitors to the Ireland booth 3019 will be able to get a real sense of the space and versatility of the extended facility opening in 2016. The fly through will take visitors on a journey around both new and existing spaces, showcasing how the venue will offer more choice and greater flexibility.

Designed to seamlessly integrate with the existing centre, the new £29.5m development will see the venue’s usable space more than double in size to almost 7,000m2 (75,347.37ft2) and will feature four floors of endless possibilities. Each floor will offer stylish and versatile spaces fitted to a high specification to create the perfect meeting place for delegates to network, learn and share.

With an outstanding reputation and a legacy spanning almost 20 years, clients will be spoilt for choice with its exceptional service and world-class conference facilities: 4,900m2 (52,743.16ft2) of exhibition space, 2,000-seat auditorium, 380-seat studio and 17 stand alone meetings rooms for 10 to 200 delegates.

Northern Ireland’s only purpose built conference centre has enjoyed a long and colourful history, playing host to many prestigious international conferences and the city’s high profile events including, two US presidential visits. The highlight of 2013 was when students, community and business leaders assembled in its stunning auditorium to listen to US President Barack Obama’s keynote speech, ahead of the G8 Summit in Enniskillen.

The 3D flythrough is a must-see for event organisers and will reaffirm why your next event should be held in the UK’s Best Conference and Incentive City Destination. Over one billion pounds has been invested in Belfast over the past decade and the city has come alive as a vibrant and exciting new events destination. As a compact city Belfast’s strength lies in its event providers’ ability to work as a team. This means that no matter what size the event is, clients will receive the undivided attention of the city’s businesses.

Members of Team Belfast, including staff from Belfast Waterfront, will be on the Ireland booth 3019 to answer any questions and give visitors a taste of what to expect when hosting an event in Northern Ireland’s capital city.

The movie has already received positive reviews following its premiere earlier this year in “The Gherkin”, London. Mike Kimmons CB, Chief Executive Officer of British Orthopaedic Association, commented: "We were delighted to view the new 3D extension flythrough at the Visit Belfast Showcase.

With an impressive 4,000m2 of conference and exhibition space, the Belfast Waterfront offers room flexibility that has been well thought out and caters exceptionally well for our Congress needs. The new space fully integrates with the existing features offering more choice and transforms the Waterfront into a top international Congress venue. We are looking forward to taking full advantage of the new development when we hold the BOA Annual Congress in Belfast in 2016."

Work is already underway on the exciting new Waterfront development. The ambitious plan to more than double the size of one of the world’s best conference centres by mid 2016 is about to become a reality, with construction work set to get underway this Autumn.
