The Venue Expo proved to be a hit for the North of England and plans for 2015 are already underway

The North’s first ever exhibition for event professionals came to EventCity this week, with 3272 unique visitors attending over the 2 days, perusing exhibitors from some of the best of the UK’s events industry. Companies such as Tweetwall Pro from Cambridgeshire, LED Factory from Greenford and Eventologists from Leicester all took part, hoping to gain new clientele in the North.

Highlights of the event included high quality speakers such as Simon Gidman from VisitEngland , Alistair Turner from Britain for Events and Kevin Jackson from George P Johnson. Exhibitors such as Europa International and D-Zine furniture provided some show stopping, quirky and eccentric exhibition stands.

D-Zine Furniture also sponsored the VIP area which ensured VIP clients had red carpet treatment with flowing champagne and canapés. This area also provided entertainment by La La Piano which was hosted by David Roper formerly of 4 Poofs and a Piano.

Following a successful 2 day event, preparations are already in motion for the 2015 show which has already seen a significant amount of rebooking’s taking place for what is set to be an even bigger and better show.

Adam Freeman, Senior Account Manager at Hospitality and Events North stated “I was very impressed with the quality of visitors at the show, we made some really good contacts, shows like this are vital to the industry but also importantly, to the North of England”

Joseph Davies, Show Manager of The Venue Expo said: “The Venue Expo 2014 delivered all our expectations proving that there most certainly was a gap in the market in the North for such an event. The success of the show can be seen with rebooks for 2015 taking place on the 2nd day of the show and the great feedback received. Plans for 2015 are in full force”
