New trade show set to help event organisers maximise delegate engagement

Robinson College, in partnership with Cambridge Event Management (CEM), is launching Clic+, a brand new trade show for UK event organisers looking to maximise delegate engagement through the content and interactive value of events.
The inaugural show, which takes place at the Cambridge College on 7th November 2014, will explore the ways that organisers can connect, learn, innovate and communicate with attendees, focusing on such topics as technology, networking, social media and nutrition.

Keynote speakers include Fay Sharpe, managing director of venue finding and events agency, Zibrant and Harriet Fear, CEO of life-science membership network, One Nucleus. The leading female spokespeople will share their personal experiences of working and networking within the events sector. Meanwhile exhibitors will feature in the college’s main hall and Martin Stephens, director at Off Limits Corporate Events will be breaking the ice with a selection of fun activities, allowing delegates and exhibitors to interact.

An educational programme of four workshops will run simultaneously throughout the day, giving delegates the opportunity to participate and interact with leading experts in their field, including Panasonic, who will be introducing the latest must have tools on the market in a workshop on ‘Technology for Events’.

Nick Milne, conference and catering manager at Robinson College, says: “Nowadays delegates have access to a world of information at the tip of their fingers, which means that learning, debates and even introductions can all take place online. For the conference and events industry, this means it is more important than ever to provide audiences with engaging content that will inspire, motivate and most importantly, include them. The purpose of Clic+ is to look at the future of conferences and how we can change the way we present, interact and engage with delegates, whilst moving forwards as an industry.”

Alessandra Caggiano, CEO of Cambridge Event Management, adds: “Clic+ is designed to be an exciting, interactive and unique experience for anyone who organises events. Attendees will have the opportunity to use the latest technology, hear insights from expert speakers and enjoy a fun series of interactive sessions, which will encourage discussion and feedback. With Cambridge being such a technological and academic hub, we have access to some of the brightest minds and exciting developments in the world, making it the perfect location for this show.”
