Best of Britain & Ireland – All aboard for tourism success!

Already over 63% of exhibitor space has been booked with many regular exhibitors returning, and around one in five new for 2013 including Eden Hotel Collection, Castle of Mey, Go Kerry, Johnsons Coaches, Lakeland Motor Museum, Richardsons Holidays, and VisitWiltshire to name but a few!
The strong support enjoyed by the show from core tourism industry supporters has been enhanced by the addition of the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association and the British Educational Travel Association who will be encouraging members to both exhibit and attend the show bringing the important youth and student group travel organisers to the event. Also,new media partners lending their support for 2013 include Scottish Travel Agents News, The Pass and VisitaGroupbringing additional show exposure with key target audiences.
“The fact that sales for 2013 are buoyant with well over half of our stands sold,and bespoke areas such as the Tourism Ireland, Experience Scotland!and Tourism South East doing extremely well is fantastic. This, coupled with the factthat additional new trade and media partners are signing up with their stamp of approval for the show, is very encouraging,” said Event Director Sam Warnock, “With tourism such an important facet in rejuvenating the economies of the UK and Ireland, this is proof that the industry is uniting behind this showcase event, and extremely appreciated.”
Best of Britain & Ireland organisers, Expo Management have also announced that they are expanding the successful and well received domestic and international VIP Buyer programmes. Joint invitations have just gone out from the show organisers and core tourism partners, with 35% of the 150 domestic places and 40% of the 75 international places accepted already.
Also a number of sponsors have come on board to support the VIP Buyers campaign including Birmingham Airport, Royal Shakespeare Company, Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, Warwick Castle, Merlin Entertainment, made, Hilton, Eden Hotel Collection, MenziesWelcombeHotel, Best Western Grosvenor hotel Stratford-upon-Avon and Johnsons Coaches who are supporting additional programmes for VIP buyers and the media in the Shakespeare’s England area.
In addition, the BoBI Express coach services introduced last year and coordinated by Anderson Tours to bring visitors and buyers to Best of Britain & Ireland, have been expanded from the initial 6 destinations to 11 for 2013 – these destinations include Manchester, Stoke, Dartford, Watford, London, Oxford, Leeds, Nottingham, Bristol, Cambridge and Peterborough. Visitors will be able to book places from just before Christmas.
The popular Seminar Programme is also almost complete with presentations inked in for IGLTA, Tourism Ireland, Tourism Society, Isle of Man and a return of the popular North American Travel Trade Symposium.
Organisers are flying in 4 keynote speakers including Americans James Shillinglaw of Travelpulse, Suzanne Hall of Ensemble Travel Group, senior travel agent consultant George Benford and Canadian Chris Robinson who presents the successful Chris Robinson Travel Show in Toronto. Panelists will educate attendees on how to successfully target the important North American marketplace, and is sure to be a key feature of the seminar programme.
