HIT Scotland – Edinburgh lunch Friday 2 November 2012, Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa

The HIT Edinburgh lunch is back ‘at home’, at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa, after the hotel’s multi-million pound refurbishment last year. JP Kavanagh, chair of the HIT Edinburgh committee, has charged his erstwhile committee with the challenge of filling the enlarged ballroom with 500 guests and already over 210 places have been secured.

Christies Scotland managing director, Bernard (Flanagan) Williams, will lead the charge on fundraising as he cajoles guests into parting with their hard-earned cash to help fund HIT Scotland bursaries and scholarships.  There are a fantastic range of raffle prizes from a two night’s bed and breakfast in The Sheraton Prague Charles Square Hotel to champagne team building wildgoose chase around a city of choice for up to 24 people, all of which will raise funds for HIT Scotland.  Get involved to help surpass the impressive £30,000 made from last year’s lunch.

This year’s speaker, Hamish Taylor, will enlighten and inspire guests with enormous enthusiasm. The Times described his CV as it "takes some beating".  Hamish has gained academic and sporting success with a fast track career through a number of high profile business roles, from Procter & Gamble to Price Waterhouse, British Airways to Managing Director of Eurostar (UK) at the age of 36, to CEO of Sainsbury’s Bank and now his own company, the Hamish Taylor Skills Exchange network.

In recent years, the Inspired Leaders Network has also added the title of "master thief" to Hamish’s profile, based on his record of innovation by transferring ideas between sectors.

Committee members, including Chief Executive David Cochrane and JP Kavanagh were treated to a sensational pre-event tasting of the lunch, including the 14-hour long cooked Tongue ‘n Cheek and Millionaire’s Bomb!
