Works at the seafront hotel in Rhu – managed by the UK’s largest independent hotel management company, Redefine|BDL Hotels - saw its popular Argyll Suite transformed in a new aesthetic of modern, understated luxury.
One of Loch Lomond’s top wedding venues, the hotel’s function space has been redecorated in a fresh, sophisticated palette of warm, neutral colours, with new fixtures, fittings and accessories throughout, as well as a new, improved dancefloor and sound system.
Designer Alison Harding of AMW Designs, said: “The setting and stunning views from the mansion itself provided me with the inspiration for the design of the new-look Argyll Suite.
“Combining our warm, neutral colour palette with accessories like our statement mirror bank, has produced a stunning effect, enhanced only by the beautiful surroundings. “The space reflects the unique setting of this distinctive hotel, and is not only stylish, but comfortable, relaxing and luxurious, in an understated way.”
The works will further enhance the extensive range of wedding packages – including themed weddings – available at the award-winning venue.
The hotel has been a finalist for ‘venue of the year’ at the Scottish Wedding Awards for the past three years – taking the honours in 2014 - due its first class reputation as a wedding venue. Don McGregor, general manager at The Rosslea Hall Hotel, said: “Our Argyll Suite is already loved by brides and grooms the world over, with more than 80 weddings taking place here every year.
“However, this investment will allow us to enhance the fantastic experience we already offer to guests attending weddings and, indeed, other special events.”
The Rosslea Hall is building a steady stream of bookings right through until 2020, including international weddings for couples as far afield as Australia and Canada.
Couples can choose from a number of themed weddings and creative packages, including The Thistle and the Rose, a magical Scottish-themed offering, and the Country Rose package, an afternoon tea wedding, delicately served on Royal Albert fine bone china.
The Rosslea Hall Hotel was also named “Quality Hotel of the Year” at an awards ceremony held by Redefine|BDL Hotels, while Don McGregor, was also named “General Manager of the Year” at the event.
