Additional impressive speakers announced for East Lothian’s Connect4 tourism conference

East Lothian Council announces further impressive speakers from VisitScotland and ScotRail to join their 8th annual tourism conference, Connect4.
The event, which is taking place at The Brunton Theatre, Musselburgh on the 22nd March 2016, is centred round connectivity. The conference’s keynote speaker Tamara Lohan, CEO of Mr and Mrs Smith is set to inspire the audience with her own story of how she used digital marketing and social media to grow this global tourism business.

Cllr John McMillan, East Lothian Council Economic Development spokesperson, said: ‘We have been hosting the event for eight years now and are sure this one will be bigger and better than ever before. The line-up of speakers we have this year will really inspire our delegates and their fantastic tourism destinations, ensuring they make the most from connectivity and the growing opportunity that digital marketing provides.’  

Connecting tourism businesses across East Lothian and surrounding regions, the Connect4 event is focused on collaboration, communication, digital marketing and social media. This fast paced environment is ever changing and this event provides the opportunity for businesses to get ahead and start making valuable connections.

In addition to Tamara Lohan of Mr and Mrs Smith, the event has confirmed participation from Marc Crothall, Chief Executive of Scottish Tourism Alliance, Riddell Graham, Director of Partnerships VisitScotland, Chelsea Charles, Manager of the Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design Visit Scotland and Alasdair Smart, Tourism Manager for Scotrail with more speakers to be announced shortly.  

Welcome starts at 9.30am followed by presentations and interactive panel sessions from some of Scotland’s most influential business men and women concluding at 4.30pm with a networking canapé reception.
