The Famous Grouse Experience hits top spot on TripAdvisor

The accolades keeping flowing in for The Famous Grouse Experience at Glenturret Distillery, Scotland's most visited distillery. The historic whisky distillery was just listed as the number one sight to see in Crieff on TripAdvisor, the website that features advice from millions of travellers.

The attraction, listed top in Things to Do in Crieff, was given a top rating of ‘Excellent' on TripAdvisor by the majority of reviewers. The peoples' thumbs up from the world's largest travel site comes as The Famous Grouse Experience announces a 50% discount on distillery tours throughout February to celebrate their recent successes and encourage many more local residents to take advantage of the world class visitor attraction right on their doorstep.  

The news follows hot on the heels of four awards for the country's oldest working distillery. In November The Famous Grouse Experience was voted Best Visitor Experience at the Association of Scottish Visitor Attractions (ASVA) Awards. In December it scooped three Whisky Magazine Icons of Whisky Awards: Whisky Visitor Attraction Manager of the Year; Distillery Manager of the Year; and a Highly Commended for Whisky Visitor Attraction of the Year.  

Stuart Cassells, General Manager at The Famous Grouse Experience, said:   "We're thrilled about hitting this number one spot on TripAdvisor and I continue to be proud of my team for making The Famous Grouse Experience such a standout visitor attraction. The timing couldn't be better as we go into our 50% off ticketing promotion for February, designed to encourage more local people to visit. Many people may not have visited for several years and we've made a number of changes to the Experience, including opening up our Warehouses for tours and offering a whisky blending experience which is proving very popular."
