The Kingsmills Hotel’s new development, the Kingsmills Suite – which will open as one of the largest residential event venues in the city – has been reserved for a number of events and weddings for 2014 despite guests not seeing the final build.
More than 70 bookings have been taken so far for the Kingsmills Suite – a 410 sq metre state-of-the-art meeting and events venue with a capacity of up to 480 delegates – well exceeding target set by the hotel.
Craig Ewan, general manager of the Kingsmills Hotel, said: “It has been exciting to see the events suite taking shape and showing so many event organisers and wedding couples around the new build. We’re delighted that so many people are showing real interest in booking the suite, even before it is completed. “We have artist’s impressions of what the building will look like so using our imagination is key – but we’re confident everyone will be very impressed with what will be unveiled early next year.”
The new suite was designed and built around the hotel’s banqueting and events operation, and can be divided into four individual rooms. It has natural daylight throughout and a break out area exclusively for suite guests.
In addition, the hotel will be able to offer banqueting for up to 340 covers and showcase its impressive food offering, which focuses on using the finest Scottish and locally-sourced produce. The menu, created by a team of passionate and dedicated chefs, includes shellfish from Cromarty, Stornoway and Orkney, venison from Ardgay, beef from Grantown on Spey and local organic eggs, ice cream and cheese.
