Turnberry reveals new conference and weddings venue

One of the largest conference and event suites in Ayrshire has been re-launched following an extensive refurbishment.  Turnberry, a Luxury Collection Resort, has unveiled the elegant update to its 2,949 square foot Caledonia Suite, the hotel’s main venue for large corporate groups and weddings.  Included in the upgrade were major paintworks, new carpeting and improvements to the conservatory terrace.

The Caledonia Suite, which can hold up to 220 people for a private dinner, is a popular location for large meetings and events with its stylish adjoining conservatory offering a peaceful break-out area.  It also makes a fantastic venue for bespoke corporate team building exercises delivered in a new partnership with corporate specialists, Maximillion.

Jordi Tarrida, General Manager, Turnberry Resort, commented; “The Caledonia Suite has never looked better.  With an increase in corporate bookings, we are delighted this wonderful function space now truly reflects the luxury service our guests receive at Turnberry.

“With the introduction of Turnberry Adventures earlier this year, we have substantially improved our corporate team building offering. The updated Caledonia Suite further enhances our fantastic corporate and meetings offering. Working in partnership with Maximillion, this renovation means that we are able to provide the perfect space for stimulating and engaging indoor team building experiences throughout the year.”

The Caledonia Suite is used alongside the resort’s Turnberry Suite and terrace which feature unrivalled views of the iconic Turnberry lighthouse, the Championship links courses and across to the Isle of Arran. Both are extremely popular with guests choosing to celebrate their marriage at Turnberry. For weddings taking place in 2014, a full service luxury wedding concept is available combining the use of the two suites from £95 per person.
