The Scotch Whisky Experience raises the bar

The Scotch Whisky Experience bar
Edinburgh’s five-star whisky attraction, The Scotch Whisky Experience, has unveiled a stunning new Whisky bar. The facility is the latest in the refurbishment of the venue which is currently celebrating 25 years in business.
Offering over 360 different Whiskies from across Scotland, including Single Malt, Single Grain and Blended Whiskies, alongside a range of Whisky liqueurs, the bar is set alongside the award winning Amber Restaurant.

With knowledgeable staff on hand to help guide guests through the vast collection, the bar is the ideal place to find the perfect malt. A unique wall mounted interactive selector gives in depth information on distilleries and whiskies in 20 languages and tailored tastings and food matching options are available, featuring Scottish tapas as well as a number of regional tasting trays.  Using reclaimed oak staves from whisky barrels to create unique furniture and high tech lighting to bring out the colour of the whiskies, the bar is a light and modern space.

The Scotch Whisky Experience is ideally suited for a conference, meeting or event.  The Castlehill Room on the top floor of the historic building is a great location for a gala dinner or large reception, and as home to the World’s Largest Collection of Scotch Whisky, the options for private dining or corporate entertainment are endless.

Julie Trevisan Hunter, head of marketing, comments: “As we celebrate our 25th year, it is exciting to be unveiling another part of the Scotch Whisky Experience that will delight even more of our guests. The team takes pride in offering a five star experience and this bar is another example of excellence alongside our superb shop, visitor offering and highly skilled staff.”

A visit to the Scotch Whisky Experience is perfect for large groups, with tours available in 15 languages. A discount of 10% is available for groups of 15 or more on the attraction’s Silver Tour.  The Silver Tour costs £12.75 for adults, £10.25 for concessions and £6.50 for children (6-17 years).  For those looking for a more in-depth experience, the Gold Tour is available from £20.50 per person, based on 6-20 people, or a private Whisky Tasting can be arranged from £25 for groups of 10-80.
