AECC makes finalist list in two categories at 2013 Meeting Industry Marketing Awards

Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) has been named as a finalist at the Meeting Industry Marketing Awards in both the ‘Best Brand Marketing Campaign’ and ‘Best Integrated Marketing Campaign’ categories.

Now in its 12th year, the Meeting Industry Marketing Award (MIMA) was launched to raise the standards of marketing in the events industry and to give recognition to marketers.  Organised by Meetings & Incentive Travel magazine, the presentation dinner will take place in London on Thursday 24th October 2013.

Judging takes into account best use of budget and return on investment as well as campaign strategy, execution and creativity.

AECC, the largest conference, exhibition, banqueting and entertainment Venue in the North-East of Scotland, has gained recognition this year, being named ‘Best Conference Venue in Scotland’ in The Annual MICE Report Awards 2013 as well as being named as a finalist in the prestigious forthcoming Scottish Event Awards in the ‘Best Large Venue’ Category which will be announced 26th September.

This news comes in a week where the AECC hosts its largest show with the advent of Offshore Europe 2013, organised by Reed Exhibitions.  The show is in its third day and is welcoming thousands of national and international visitors from the Oil and Gas industry.
