The Kingsmills Hotel unveiled artist impressions of its Kingsmills Suite – a 410 sq metre state-of-the-art meeting and events venue with a capacity of up to 480 delegates – which is due to open in January 2014.
Craig Ewan, general manager of the Kingsmills Hotel, explained that the exquisite suite was designed specifically with events managers in mind and will further bolster the hotel’s reputable conference and events offering.
He said: “The Kingsmills Suite will not only help us build on our reputation for high standards of service, but it will provide Inverness with a venue capable of hosting large scale events which hasn’t been possible before.
“As part of our continued review and development of all areas of the hotel, we listened to what event planners needed from a flexible space and the resounding response was that they required ease of function.
“We will now have seven conference and event rooms in total between the historic mansion house and the purpose built space. We envisage this will have a very positive impact on both our UK and overseas markets.”
The new suite was designed and built around the hotel’s banqueting and events operation, and can be divided into four individual rooms. It also features air-conditioning, natural daylight throughout and a break out area exclusively for suite guests. Integrated audio visual equipment is available and there is complementary car parking on site.
In addition, the hotel will be able to offer banqueting for up to 340 covers and showcase its impressive food offering, which has had a strong focus on using the finest Scottish produce since the hotel changed ownership in 2007. The menu, created by a team of passionate and dedicated chefs, includes a selection of shellfish from Cromarty, Stornoway and Orkney; venison from Ardgy, beef from Granton on Spey, as well as local organic eggs, ice cream and cheese.
Set within four acres of landscaped grounds just one mile from the centre of Inverness, the four-star Kingsmills Hotel and spa is perfect for both business and leisure breaks.
As a privately owned mansion house hotel with 134 rooms – many with private balconies and patios or overlooking the neighbouring golf course – the award-winning hotel effortlessly combines its extensive history, traditional main house with the contemporary designed Kingsclub to create an unforgettable experience for its guests.
In addition to the new event space, the hotel has also created an additional 38 rooms that will be open in early 2014. The spacious and luxurious rooms provide guests with super king-sized beds, sumptuous duvets and stylish textiles, as well as a separate bath and walk-in shower.
