Held this week (15th and 16thof May 2013), DEVEX Conference and Exhibition is run jointly by the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain (PESGB), the Society for Petroleum Engineers (SPE), and the Aberdeen Formation Evaluation Society (AFES).
DEVEX 2013 focuses on ‘Maximising Our Diverse Resources’ and attracts geologists, geo-physicists, petro-physicists, reservoir engineers, petroleum engineers, production technologists, well engineers and drilling engineers from Scotland, Europe and beyond.
A key knowledge-sharing event for the oil and gas industry, DEVEX will allow leaders to pass on their experience and knowledge of innovation and entrepreneurialism in the sector throughout the event. Rebecca Nye, DEVEX 2013 Chair says: “Now in its tenth year, the Conference is well established and is going from strength to strength, expecting over 450 delegates with 37 exhibitors confirmed.”
She continued; “This year we have a comprehensive and stimulating programme spanning over two days, with contributions from many of the largest, smallest and independent, organisations in the industry. There will be 44 high-quality presentations and 20 posters from a range of disciplines - all with the aim to educate and inspire. The theme of ‘Maximising Our Diverse Resources’ is immensely important to the future success of the Oil and Gas industry, and I am sure the presentations and posters will show just how healthy the industry is in that respect.”
Brian Horsburgh, AECC’s Managing Director says: “Now in its tenth year, we are delighted to welcome the DEVEX Committee and Delegates back to the National Energy Exhibition Centre. This annual conference is followed by other key energy events including All-Energy next week, Piper 25 in June and of course Offshore Europe which will take place in September this year. ”
