Craggan Outdoors and the WDC Scottish Dolphin Centre team up

Two Highlands and Islands Tourism award winners have teamed up to offer a day out for groups and corporates with a difference. Craggan Outdoors, winner of ‘Best Visitor Attraction’, and the WDC Scottish Dolphin Centre, winner of ‘Marketing Campaign of the Year’, are jointly targeting groups with a love for wildlife watching and outdoor activities.

Craggan Outdoors, based at Grantown-on-Spey in the Cairngorms National Park, just under an hour from the Scottish Dolphin Centre, offers one of the widest ranges of outdoor activities available in the Highlands, to a wide range of different client groups including corporates, & has worked with companies such as Global Energy Group, Diageo, Scottish Water & Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC. Activity options include archery, art & creativity, clay pigeon shooting, golf, gorge walking, high ropes, kayaking, mountain biking, raft building, rock climbing, and much more.

The WDC Scottish Dolphin Centre offers the wildlife focused activities to complement the outdoor activities, including land-based dolphin watching, tours of the Spey Bay Reserve, both led by an experienced guide, & even a beach clean for those wanting to help with conservation. The Centre is based in a beautiful location at the mouth of the River Spey, an area rich in wildlife. Some of the largest bottlenose dolphins in the world are regularly seen hunting around the mouth of the river, along with seals, ospreys, otters and a huge variety of birdlife.

Craggan Outdoors’ Managing Director Keith Ballam commented on the new tie-up: “We’re really excited about the link with the Scottish Dolphin Centre as we feel that it offers a team-building day that’s different to anything else available in the area, & on top of that gives Craggan Outdoors the opportunity to support a fantastic cause as we will donate 10% of our fees for any booking to Whale and Dolphin Conservation, the charity which runs the Scottish Dolphin Centre.”

Scottish Dolphin Centre co-ordinator, Rob Ward, added: “We are delighted to team up with fellow winners Craggan Outdoors. It seems like the perfect combination for nature lovers, you can spend the morning with Craggan Outdoors before heading up to the Centre to wildlife watch in the afternoon or vice versa. We can tailor the day’s activities to suit each individual group, so just let us know what you want and leave the rest to us.”
