Holiday Inn Glasgow Airport starts works on £1m facelift

Holiday Inn Glasgow Airport has started work on a major investment which will see a complete overhaul of its appearance. An impressive landmark on the Glasgow Airport landscape, the hotel has been open for over 40 years, and this £1m investment will bring a much anticipated refresh of the building’s current appearance.

The investment is part of an ongoing three year refurbishment plan; which has already resulted in the redecoration of the ground floor bar and restaurant areas as well as refurbishment of the lifts. The work is estimated to take between 16 and 20 weeks and will see teams of painters work in tandem to complete the tall task of painting the entire facia of the building.

Douglas Winfield, General Manager of Holiday Inn Glasgow Airport, said: “The investment being made into this iconic building is a significant step in the hotel’s 40 year history. We are excited that the new look 300 room hotel will provide a refreshed landmark for an estimated six million passengers that visit the hotel each year.

“This £1m investment really highlights our commitment to ensuring our guests have the best stay possible, and the whole team is looking forward to welcoming guests to our refreshed hotel when work is completed.”

Holiday Inn Glasgow Airport is perfectly situated in close distance to the airport, meaning guests can enjoy a good night’s sleep knowing they are only a minute walk from the terminal. Business guests can also take advantage of the extensive Academy Conference Centre, where there are 18 naturally lit meeting rooms to meet the needs of any meetings or events.

People flying from Glasgow Airport can also enjoy Holiday Inn Glasgow Airport’s Park, Stay and Go package, which offers guests competitive rates on long stay parking for Glasgow Airport with a great range of 4, 8 or 15 day packages.
