Estonian Convention Bureau launches dynamic, new website

The Estonian Convention Bureau has now gone live with a completely revamped version of its website, www.ecb.ee, which delivers radical improvements in both content and usability.
Designed by the Okia digital agency, the new site makes heavy use of photos to highlight Estonia's attractiveness as a meeting destination and includes numerous technical features that make it more user-friendly for perspective conference clients.

Among the main changes is an improved responsiveness that allows it to be accessed easily on tablets and mobiles as well as on more traditional browsing hardware.

In the new content set-up, each event venue has its own dedicated page complete with photos and videos, letting would-be clients understand just what they would be booking. Likewise, each ECB member PCO and DMC will have a dedicated page where their materials and references can be viewed.

The site's redesigned programmes section has a new layout that helps users find the perfect programme idea, conference pre- or post-tour, no matter what their group size. Ideas are organised thematically to make them easier to browse, whether the user is looking for the fast-paced thrills of a speedboat sea safari, a medieval treasure hunt or a chocolate-making workshop.

Another new feature on the site is a presentation, “12 Reasons to Choose Estonia for Conferences,” which outlines the country's unique selling points in a quick, easy-to-follow format, while changes to the Convention Calendar mean that it can now be searched by subject, venue and location.

“We hope that the new site will serve as a good starting point for any international planner who wants to learn more about Estonia as a meeting destination and choose suitable partners for events. Likewise, the Convention Calendar can be used by other convention bureaus as a benchmark when they are looking for international conferences that rotate and might be suitable for their destinations as well,” said ECB's Marketing Manager Riine Tiigi.
