Two floor extension and compete refurbishment at MARITIM Antonine Hotel & Spa, MaltaeA full refurbishment and two floor extension has been completed at the exclusive 4* MARITIM Antonine Hotel & Spa, in Mellieha on the Mediterranean island of Malta.
Occupying a commanding position on one of the many terrace levels on the town’s rocky slopes, the MARITIM Antonine Hotel & Spa has a prime spot on the hillside offering breathtaking views of the surrounding area and pretty village of Mellieha below.
Since the end of the last season, the hotel has undergone a comprehensive refurbishment. All of the rooms have been fully re-designed and decorated, and the public areas, including the lobby and restaurants, have been given a fresh and bright new look. The gardens and outdoor areas have also been refreshed, and the spa has been fitted with a new sauna.
In addition, the hotel has been significantly extended with a further two floors, adding an extra 50 rooms to meet the gradually increasing demand, particularly from the UK market. One of the highlights of the new nine-storey building is the fabulous roof terrace that features an open-air restaurant and rooftop swimming pool with stunning panoramic sea views.
Director of international sales at MARITIM, Mark Spivey, commented: “We are delighted to start the new season in Malta with a fully refurbished and extended property. The MARITIM Antonine & Spa has long been popular with British holidaymakers, with demand increasing gradually year-on-year, and its great news that we will be able to accommodate more guests in an exceptionally beautiful and welcoming hotel.”
The MARITIM Antonine Hotel & Spa re-opened on 1 April 2016 and is bookable directly or through travel agents and tour operators.
