Austrian-born Peter Edler takes the helm at the 5-star MARITIM Resort & Spa, located on the north west of the island overlooking Turtle Bay. With a wealth of experience in the hotel and tourism industry worldwide, and a successful hospitality career spanning more than 26 years, Peter’s knowledge and expertise ensure he is the right man for the role.
Peter is responsible for the continuation of quality and exceptional service at MARITIM’s flagship property in Mauritius. Currently celebrating its 25th anniversary, he will work hard to maintain and upgrade the hotel’s incredibly high international standards.
Over on the east coast of the island Andrea Nestle, from Germany, has been appointed General Manager at the 4-star MARITIM Crystals Beach Hotel, a contemporary and elegant property that is in an idyllic beachside setting.
Andrea’s career has always been in hospitality, working in Australia, the Maldives and Kuwait for a mix of international companies and private property owners. She has been with MARITIM Hotels for over 15 years in a variety of positions in its properties worldwide, including Germany, Latvia, Turkey and Spain.
In her new role, Andrea has been tasked with raising awareness of this relatively new hotel and establishing its position in the Mauritius market, drawing on her extensive international experience and specialised skills in opening and branding hotels and renovation.
