Robert van der Graaf appointed Regional Vice President Full Licence Europe, Middle East and Africa

Worldhotels, a leading global group for independent upscale hotels, is growing its branded soft franchise solution as the ideal alternative to traditional franchising and has newly created the position of Regional Vice President Full Licence Europe, Middle East and Africa to head the development and consultancy of the branded hotels. Robert van der Graaf, previously Director of Marketing Services at Worldhotels, has taken over the new role.

The Québec City Convention Centre has welcomed a new Sales Manager to its team. Mrs. Aline Tesser has close to 15 years of experience in sales and events. She will now work on the Canadian corporate market.

Jens Christian Andersen heads LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort Hotel

Jens Christian Andersen has been appointed Operations Director at the 150-room, fully themed LEGOLAND Windsor Resort Hotel. Andersen first joined the team at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort in 2011 as Food and Beverage Director where he played a critical role in reviewing and raising the food and beverage offering to an award winning standard.

Expanded role for Dolce’s Director of European Global Sales, Juliette Knowles

Juliette Knowles
Juliette Knowles, Director of European Global Sales Offices Dolce Hotels and Resorts, has joined the International Association of Conference Centres (IACC) working as part of the Brand Development committee.  Her role will include marketing and promotion of IACC Brand, trade show strategy, web development and management, CSR, social media programme and developing and promoting Best Practice and IACC Quality Standards.

New hotel manager appointments at Madinat Jumeirah

Azar Saliba has been appointed Hotel Manager of Jumeirah’s Al Qasr and Dar Al Masyaf hotels. The Lebanese national has over 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry, and 7 years with the Jumeirah Group in the UAE. Prior to this appointment he worked as hotel manager for Mina A’Salam, where his passion for dealing with guests and colleagues was quickly recognised.

Adrian Evans joins the NEC as Account Director for conferences and live events

Adrian Evans has joined the NEC as Account Director for Conferences and Live Events, reinforcing the NEC’s commitment to growing its business in those areas.
Reporting directly to Business Development Director Chris Hartley, Adrian brings 14 years of successful sales management experience within the hotel and conference venue sectors to the role, including positions at Q hotels, Manchester ICC and Edinburgh ICC.

QHotels’ appoints new Director of Leisure Sales

Award-winning hotel group QHotels has announced the appointment of Linzi Haigh as the Director of Leisure Sales for its collection of hotels.
Linzi joins from Hilton Hotels and has a wealth of experience in the leisure sector having spent time in similar roles at Britannia Hotels, Millennium and Copthorne and Hilton Hotels. She brings with her a great understanding of the commercial and operational elements of the leisure sector and is well known and highly regarded within the industry.
